Initially, two colors are available: black and white. The campaign will run until the end of August, and shipping is slated for October. Availability is restricted to the Kickstarter campaign, where different packages with different price tags ($79.99, $89.99, and $99.99) are on offer. At this point in time, the Zephyr Gaming Mouse is driverless and can only be configured on-device, but a software driver for further customization may follow later. On the performance side of things, the Zephyr Gaming Mouse comes with pretty much everything one would expect in 2020: a lightweight honeycomb shell (68 g), PixArt's PMW3389 sensor capable of 16,000 CPI, Omron switches for the main buttons, high quality pure PTFE feet, and a highly flexible paracord-like, braided cable.
Its unique selling point is a built-in fan directly below the palm to keep one's hand cool. The RGBs on the other hand definitely were, and you can see them in action in the full review.The Zephyr Gaming Mouse is a new and currently active Kickstarter project. The fan did actually make a difference and was not just added for looks. The PixArt’s PMW3389 sensor inside is popular with many makers and is capable of 16,000 CPI, they used Omron switches for the main buttons, PTFE feet, and a flexible braided cable. TechPowerUp got their hands on a prototype and tested out the quality of the mouse as well as the fan.
The mouse is designed to fit the same for lefties as right handed people, though there are only thumb buttons on the left side and no indication of a second body with those reversed.
If you back it you will get 50% off the planned price of the mouse, which seems to be intended to be $160, but if you really want an RGB infested mouse with a blower this is your best chance.
